Originally from East Texas, but moved to Austin about '91, then moved out to a farm(yes farm, you know with animals, and cowboy hats.. sturrups too.) then recently moved into a small town about 15 mins away from that farm, and I'm liking it so far

Just to clear something up. You can blame the wonderful governer of Louisiana for doing nothing. He literally had thousands of buses at his disposable that are now sunk thanks to him doing nothing. He was supposed to have food and water readied at the Super Dome BEFORE the hurricane. Nothing. Bush couldn't send federal troops to get it done faster because he has to first have a request for them otherwise all he can do is sit and let the gov do the work. Which didn't happen. Bush also had the security alert thing up before the hurricane which is a very uncommon thing for Presidents to do. Now I don't remember all that the governer screwed up, but I can assure you it all wasn't Bush's fault. I felt compelled to say something when I read that :|

I do marching band, listen to music, or drive. When I am not doing marching band, I like to stay inside as much as possible because it is way too hot here!
By the way, I do not own a cowboy hat, I hate jeans and prefer shorts, and I do not have a Texan accent eventhough I was born here and have lived here my whole life.

Think they implemented a new law where you have to give written notice that you will rob a place before doing so, atleast thats what i heard from a friend.
Dunno, I live in Houston, or H-Town as it so aptly is called. Or, I could be just spewing random things I think I know but don't.

You beat me to the punch.
There is a plan in place - it requires co-ordination at the local, state and federal levels.
.... I started on a long tirade about Governor Blanco's and Mayor Ray Nagin's involvement (or lack thereof), but that's not appropriate at this moment. Let's just say there's plenty of blame to go around so let's not put it all on Bush....
.... but do ask yourself who is preventing The Red Cross from giving aid in the state .... if you don't know, go look it up - it ain't because of Bush ....
